چکیده

Dr. Isabelle Rapin passed away on May 25, 2017. She was a highly skilled clinical pediatric neurologist, a great teacher who mentored and trained many pediatric neurologists and professionals in her field, and a respectable clinical researcher. She had insight that the principal symptom of the language disorder in Landau-Kleffner syndrome was ‘‘verbal agnosia.” Dr. Rapin graduated from Lausanne Medical School in Switzerland. With a Swiss father and an American mother, she grew up in intellectual and French–English bilingual circumstances. She spent 6 weeks at the Department of Neurology at Salpetriere and another 6 weeks at Enfants Malades in Paris as a medical stu-
